Good afternoon Principal Herrera and Principal Schmidt, 


Congratulations on becoming our district's representatives at the Conga Kids Dance Final Championship at Esteban Torres High School on Wednesday, December 13, 2017. The competition event will be from 5:30pm-6:30pm, with competitors needing to arrive at Torres HS by 4:30pm. We have submitted a transportation request here in the district office for 1 bus to pick up at Abbott at 3:15pm and then pick up at Wilson at 3:30pm (T-req # to follow). 


Please let me know the name of the school staff member/s that will be riding the bus to the event by Friday, December 8, 2017. Please  Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Good afternoon Principal Schmidt,
 
My name is Devin Holliman, I am the Program Coordinator with Conga Kids. We are thrilled to return to Wilson Elementary this semester. In consideration of your school’s bell schedule, our proposed schedule for Wilson is as follows:
 
Tuesdays and Thursdays
Class 1: 9:40-10:30am | Ms. Johnson (Room 201)
Class 2: 11:25am-12:15pm | Ms. Covarrubias (Room 202)
Class 3: 1-1:50pm | Ms. Baber (Room 204)
Class 4: 2-2:50pm | Ms. Carranza (Room 203)
 
Attached you’ll find a calendar outlining the full semester schedule proposal.
 
Noteworthy Dates:
- 1st Lessons: Thursday, September 7th
- Full 5th Grade Assembly (bonus lesson): October 24th, Time TBD
- Wilson’s Culminating Event (TBD, November 27-30)
- Semi-Final Competition: December 1st, 10am at Lynwood Middle School
- Final Competition: December 13th, 5:30pm at Ramon C. Cortinez High School
 
Additionally, our Artistic Director Daniel Ponickly (aka Mr. Danny), traditionally comes to speak with the students before their first ballroom class, and to meet with you and the 5th grade team to finalize scheduling. Please let us know if there is a time and date that works best for you and the teachers before September 7th.
