Greetings Teachers/Staff:
ELA after school intervention will end on Thursday, January 25th.
Math after school intervention will run from February 6th to March 8th.
We want to make sure that students who are being offered intervention will actually commit to the ten sessions. If a student only shows up for 2 out of the 10 sessions then it doesn't do anyone any good. Please have these conversations with parents of struggling students at parent conferences. They need to show up for intervention if they actually want help.
Intervention is being offered for 1st-6th grade only. Combination classes will be made to focus on skills such as fluency, multiplying, diving, and word problems.
Math intervention selection will be based on district benchmark performance, ADAM, and teacher recommendations. I have placed four green intervention sheets in each teacher's box. Please make sure that the students who you are selecting are scoring at about Strategic on the benchmarks and require help with math fluency and basic skills. Please give forms to students on Monday, and once they return them, put them in my box.
2nd/3rd-grade, teachers in order to help with your selection process for math intervention, please note the attendance for ELA Intervention so far. Ms. Apodaca and Mr. Rodriguez, please reply to this email with your attendance information for your grades.

The Math Academic Intervention (After School) will launch February 6, 2018.
Focus: Math (fluency, multiplying, diving, and word problems)
When: Tuesday & Thursdays
From 2/6 - 3/8 (Five Weeks) 2x a week = 10 total sessions.
Students: Teachers and I will be identifying students based on ADAM Assessments & Common Assessments.

Greetings Teachers :
Thank you so much for teaching intervention!!! It is very important that you keep a running attendance log. We need to know who is coming and how often. Please create your attendance log on Docs so that we can share it easily.
Planning:
You will have 2 paid hours for planning, you may stay and plan on these days, and will be paid your hourly rate. Please make sure to sign in and out at the front office with Jean.

Focus:
We are focusing on math fluency in all grade levels, multiplication (multi digit) , division, word problems, and fractions.
