Subject: Science Fair Final Update


Science Fair Coordinators, Teachers, Principals, Assistant Principals and Leads.

The district science fair is tomorrow, June 5th at Lynwood Middle School, every elementary school will be provided with two subs as well as Chavez, Vista and Lynwood High School per their request and Firebaugh, Hosler and Lynwood Middle School will get 4 subs. The only schools that requested transportation were Lindbergh, Lugo and Abbott. Students should start arriving between 9:00-9:30, Judging will begin at 10:00 am. and we are hopping to be done judging and ready to announce the winners by 1:00 pm. I attached a copy of the judges form and the setting format for Lynwood Middle School's gym. Lunches will be provided, and please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns.

Subject: 2018 District Science Fair


Science Fair Coordinators, Teachers, Principals, Assistant Principals and Leads.

The district science fair is coming up in the next few weeks on June 5th at Lynwood Middle School, due to local elections we had to move the location, but kept the same date June 5th. Set up for the science fair projects will be on Monday, June 4th after-school from 3:00-5:00 pm. and Monday June 5th in the morning. Judging will begin at 10:00 am. and go to 12:00 pm. Each elementary school will get 2 subs to cover a chaperone and a judge and middle and high schools will each get 4 subs to cover judges and chaperones, Vista High School will get two subs as well. We will need the names of the students who are participating in order to cover lunches as well as the teachers who will need subs by next week no later than Thursday, May 24th. We received a request to judge 6th graders first in order for them to participate in promotional activities, I know it is late in the year and the district science fair is not mandatory but encourage students to participate. If you need transportation let us know and we can see if we can arrange transportation, and other request or suggestions email me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Subject: 2018 Science Fair Update


Science Fair Coordinators and Administrators,

The Science Fair has been moved to June 5th due to the delay in construction at Bateman Hall. I attached all the files and documents that were handed out on Thursdays meeting. As discussed at the meeting, the Science Fair format will be the same as last year with the exception of adding a 1st place only trophy for group projects, as well as including "Transitional Kinder" to the Science Fair.

Subject: District Science Fair Date Changed to April 18th 2017


Greetings,

Due to construction and renovations to the city of Lynwood's Bateman Hall during the month of February and March, the district science fair will have to be moved to April 18th 2017. If secondary schools are still interested in participating in the Los Angeles County Science Fair in March let me know in order to register the schools that are interested in participating. I will have the flyers and posters with the new dates printed next week and delivered to the schools. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.
